Amco Homes was founded by Al Lutz in 1974. At the time, he was a commercial lender in Vancouver but saw a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for modular homes on Vancouver Island. He quit his job and together with his wife and two sons, moved to Nanaimo to begin a long-time partnership with Moduline Industries. His instincts were right—the demand for affordable housing was high and that demand still exists today. Even though Al passed away in 2019, his modular home legacy remains. His sons Joel and Tyler continue to drive the family business forward treating each and every one of our modular home customers like one of our own. Through honesty, integrity, and transparency, we continue to help second and third generations of families find the right modular home fit for their lifestyle and budget.
